Poultry litter and cover crops influence the agronomic performance and grain yield of wheat

The use of poultry litter as a source nitrogen (N) and the decomposition ground cover plants can be an alternative N management strategy in wheat crop, succession. Therefore, objective this study was to evaluate effect isolated and/or intercropped cultivation autumn/winter on some plant parameters final yield grains. experimental design randomized blocks, split plots, with three replications. treatments plots were composed coverings Avena strigosa Schreb., Raphanus sativus L. intercropping A. + R. fallow control. In subplots, managements crop 100% recommendation via litter, mineral (urea), 50% control, without application. fertilization crops altered components crop. increased grain yield, being partial replacement, when associated urea, or total N. Isolated significantly influenced agronomic performance yield.
